A Christmas miracle - Mythical Ink v3

The old design had actually been bothering me for quite some time. And that also made me a little less keen to continue working on Mythical Ink. Firstly, there were a lot of inconsistent elements that looked different on one page than on the other, even though they basically did the same thing. Then the whole design didn't really match the content of the site. And some functions were awkward to use.

That's why I decided some time ago to redesign the site. Unfortunately, it took longer than I expected to manage this alongside work. But fortunately there was no rush, so I was able to take my time and get it done properly. And now it's finally out. I'll be improving a few things over the coming weeks and then hopefully I'll have more time and desire to work on content again.

In addition to the new design, a few smaller features and fixes have also gone online:

Custom Spell Icons

It is now possible to set an icon for your own spells. This means that custom spells do not all look the same in the list. I would like to expand the number of icons a little in the future.

UI Improvements

  • Custom spells can now also be deleted and edited from the details page.
  • You can now save spells, monsters and items from the details page to your bookmarks or remove them from your bookmarks.
  • You can now download all filtered spells as a PDF and no longer just the ones you have saved in your bookmarks.

Fixes

  • Some icons in the spell list were not displayed.
  • The description on the generated spell card PDFs was sometimes not wrapped correctly. This should look a lot better now.
  • Custom spells that had a material entered could no longer be edited.

And with that, I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
